Stop Robbing God

The fast pace that the world is setting now has almost got us in a run. We need to stop for a moment and consider where we are going. Are we robbing God of what we owe Him? I do not mean from a sense as a thief would steal but things we should be giving the Lord. Let’s take inventory of ourselves and stop robbing God.

Of Our Time – We need to ask ourselves, “How much time do I have”? The answer is simple. Our life is as a vapor that is here for a moment and then vanishes away [James 4:14]. How little time we have here and yet we do not take advantage fo it by serving the God of heaven. One of the great questions at the judgment will be, “What did you do with your time?”

Of Our Talents – God has blessed us all with some form of talent. For us to refuse to use them is direct disobedience to the Lord [Matt. 25:14-30]. The Lord is able to discern what we can and can’t do and gives us talents accordingly. Therefore let’s put out talent to use in service to God so at the last great day we will not be found wanting s the one talent man of the Bible.

Of Our Money – The Lord has given us everything. It is a foolish man who does not recognize this. Now the Lord commands that we return a portion unto him but only in the suitable manner [1 Cor. 16:1,2; 2 Cor. 9:7]. God has set the way and attitude we should give and that is the only way. Let’s not take away what belongs to God.

Of Our Influence – The statement has been made many times, “No one is watching me”. If you are guilty of such a statement then you are badly mistaken. There are some watching you to see what you are doing. Therefore it is necessary to have the right influence as a Christian, as a father or mother, as a citizen, and just as an individual. Let’s conduct ourselves in such a manner that we can hold our head high and say proudly, “I don’t care for the world watching me”!
